Walk in Dry Places—Learning to Live! (Recorded on October 19, 2010)
Tuesday, February 28, 2017
This encore program is in honor of Mel B., who passed away this week at the age of 90 with 66 years of sobriety. Mel blessed the recovery community in countless ways. He takes with him our deep love and gratitude. Recovery is so much more than sobriety alone or coping with a loved one’s addictive disease. That’s where it begins—but ultimately recovery is about learning to live!

My special guest Mel B. was a recovering alcoholic with more than 60 years of sobriety (April 15, 1950) and a lifelong student of metaphysics and spirituality. Mel wrote the meditation book Walk in Dry Places to help recovering people learn to live life on life’s terms—in other words, to become happy, joyous, and free. The recovery life is a life worth living—well! Join me and Mel B., a well-loved recovery speaker and prolific author, as we explored how to make it through life’s challenges into positive, high-quality living.
