Professor of psychiatry at the Université de Montréal and director of the Dream and Nightmare Laboratory, Tore Nielsen, Ph.D., researches sleep onset micro-dreaming, dreaming’s role in learning and memory, and nightmare pathophysiology. His research methods include introspection, polysomnography, targeted memory reactivation, cognitive and personality testing, REM sleep deprivation, EEG/ECG spectral analysis, VR exposure, and internet-based dream collection.
